KLINGER Holding acquires Trimad

With the acquisition of Trimad in Slovenia, the KLINGER Group strengthens its presence in the Adriatic region.

February 20, 2026

As of February 20, 2026, the KLINGER Holding has acquired Trimad, a long-standing sales partner in Slovenia. With this step, the Group further strengthens its presence in Slovenia and creates a solid foundation for continued growth in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia – markets with significant potential for industrial applications and energy projects.

Founded in 1989 by Drago Iljaš, Trimad has built a strong reputation in the industrial solutions sector over the past three decades. Representing leading international manufacturers in fluid control, sealing technology, and industrial components, Trimad is recognized as a trusted partner in industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, construction, and general industrial manufacturing. Slovenia has remained Trimad’s core market, while regional activities – particularly in Croatia – have steadily expanded over the years.

Regional Industrial Solutions Leader

Through this acquisition, KLINGER is transforming a proven partnership into a fully integrated organization. The existing team will remain with the company to ensure continuity for customers, suppliers, and partners. Operations will continue seamlessly and are now supported by KLINGER’s global network, technical expertise, and manufacturing capabilities.

“Trimad has been a reliable and highly professional partner for many years,” says Daniel Schibli, CEO of the KLINGER Group. “By bringing the company into the Group, we are strengthening our local presence and establishing the foundation for long-term, sustainable growth in the Adriatic region.”

Technical Excellence – backed by KLINGER

Under the leadership of Jure Žnidaršič, who is taking over as Managing Director, the company will continue to focus on providing high-quality technical solutions and close customer relationships. Having previously served as CEO of Trimad, Jure brings deep market knowledge and long-standing industry experience to his new role. “Our customers value technical competence, reliability, and fast response times,” he states. “Becoming part of KLINGER enables us to expand our portfolio and technical expertise while retaining the flexibility and customer proximity that have always characterized Trimad.”

Unlocking Growth

The regional markets served by Trimad present significant opportunities, particularly in energy infrastructure and industrial applications. The increasing investment in energy efficiency, the modernization of industrial plants, and the expansion of pharmaceutical production capacity are driving demand for reliable valves, sealing solutions, and engineered components – areas in which KLINGER has considerable expertise and a differentiated product portfolio.

Drago Iljaš, the former majority owner of Trimad, views the acquisition as the next logical step in the company’s development. “Trimad was built on long-term partnerships and technical credibility,” he says. “Integrating into the KLINGER Group secures this legacy and provides the framework for continued growth in a highly competitive environment.”

Expansion in the Adriatic region

Through Trimad, the Group is reinforcing its strategy of strengthening its local market presence by establishing integrated subsidiaries, all the while maintaining close relationships with customers and partners. This acquisition is an important milestone in KLINGER’s ongoing expansion in the Adriatic region, based on established partnerships, technical expertise, and a clear focus on forward-looking industrial markets.
